A full day course comprising a morning of clinically-orientated lectures focusing on thoracic anaesthesia and surgery followed by hands on practical workshops in the afternoon.
The morning lecture programme is shown in the PDF below and the workshops will include
9 am to 5pm on Friday 21st February 2025.

The morning lectures will also be streamed live on Microsoft Teams and recorded for later viewing.
As the Pan-London thoracic regional training day, the symposium is target primarily at stage 2 and 3 anaesthetic trainees and will cover basic and more advanced areas of thoracic anaesthesia.
The day will also be relevant to any fellows and consultants with an interest in thoracics or those who would like a refresher/update on thoracic anaesthesia and associated clinical skills as details above and below.

The morning lectures are free to view online via MS teams as part of the Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia Partnership's established free educational programme.

Yes we are in the process of applying for CPD points from the Royal College of Anaesthetists and will be aiming for 3 points each for the morning and afternoon sessions, totalling 6 points for the full day. We will update this section when the CPD points are confirmed.
The course is jointly organised on behalf of Health Education England by us (CAP) and TAGG, the Thoracic Anaesthesia Group at Guys.
