Birmingham fTOE
fTOE is a basic TOE examination focused on identifying the cause of acute haemodynamic compromise in the acute and perioperative setting.
The Birmingham fTOE course is a beginners 3-day face-to-face course for anaesthetists, intensivists, cardiologists and allied health professionals.
Endorsed by the Association of Anaesthetists and Intensive Care Society as an official course for their fTOE qualification

Birmingham Echo Masters
Following the great success of our September 2025 EchoMasters Foundation Course — which received excellent feedback from trainees and faculty alike — we are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the upcoming December 6–7 cohort in Birmingham.
The EchoMasters Hands-On Foundation Course in Transthoracic Echocardiography provides structured, clinically focused training designed for junior doctors, and acute care clinicians.

Running regular training days at Harefield Hospital, MLS is a fantastic initiative providing education for the multidisciplinary team on VADs, Impella and ECMO.
