This national congenital cardiac anaesthesia teaching (NCCAT) programme is a product of collaboration between teams from a number of UK hospitals delivering care for patients with congenital heart disease. We are representatives of the UK-based Congenital Cardiac Anaesthesia Network (CCAN).
We recognised the need for more formal anaesthesia-focused teaching around topics related to congenital heart disease, and we hope that these talks will serve to strengthen ties between congenital heart centres and open discussion about shared experience and best practice. The talks are pitched at senior trainee / fellow / consultant level, but are open to everyone. Topics are tailored to the expertise of the speakers, and may appeal to those working in anaesthesia, cardiology, intensive care and cardiac surgery.
Recordings of the talks will be available here on the CCAN page shortly after each meeting.
